After the first round is fed (sometimes with aid of my finger), the rest seem to be okay. Usually at the range I load a single round at a time.

Most factory hunting rounds in 303 British are in the 150gr range. The Lee Enfield's sights are regulated for the Mk7 Ball load that has a 174gr bullet.

Since I'm a history buff and wanted a true ww2 enfield I decided to go ahead with converting it back.
